Handy app for us math people who are bad at fractions and it is easier than getting the laptop out. It took me a second to figure out when to press the x/xx button but was able to figure it out.

I use this app as a feet and inches calculator and have found it very easy to use. I like the way it handles fraction input, very easy once you get used to it. I use this app when reviewing shop drawings and comparing them to the construction drawings as the two are often drawn in different units - a lot of shop drawings are all in inches (18") or in feet with a decimal (1.5') instead of feet with inches (1'-6"). By pressing the feet, inches and/or yard buttons the answer gets converted to selected units, making it easy to compare the dimension strings on the different drawings. Selecting units buttons more than once changes the answer from fractions to decimal.

I've been using a Construction Master calculator for years and I was about to buy a new one when I found this app. It does so much more and it will be a lot easier to learn for someone that's never used a construction calc before. Great app plus it's 1/5 the cost.

great app, amazing price when you concider everyone else at work uses the ones with the same functions but they payed a hundred dollars more, wanted to upload it to my ipod touch as well as the iphone but couldn't get it, thats the only downfall. Ten bucks, only a fool would pass this up when you concider all the fancy tools in the world won't get the job done right if you can't get the measurements accurate enough.

I love the quick jobs part, but the actual calculator is difficult. It looks like a lot of construction calculators... But I don't know how to use them... A manual would help for us newcomers

I read the review by Figment. Don't understand. You CAN enter fractions from the keypad. Just put x feet, x inches, THEN the fraction. I would like to be able to change the default on the calculator results to 1/16 as long as it doesn't produce a cumulative error on jack rafter lists.

i think its a little complicated for a dumb fireman like me , cant figure out how to calculate for roof construction, rafter lengths, ect.. and it gives answers like 23.65826, how about just plain simple feet and inches. maybe it should come with instructions on how to use. im sure its a great app. just a little confusing.

Very difficult to input fractions. It's almost easier to do 10.5/2 for example. You'd think you could enter a fraction from the keys directly. The stairs and roof scripts are ok but so much more could be done.

This is a good ap for most projects. It does have limitations in custom work. There is a lot of room for improvement. I would like to see a split pitch calculator. It should take into consideration ridge width. I would prefer it to calculate no farther than sixteenth inch fractions.

Now this app was made just for me. The Diagram view is the best part of the app. I can never remember which angle definition is which and with the diagram for a reference it takes all the guess work out of it now. WHAT A GREAT APP!!! You guy really hit the nail on the head with this one. (so to speak) ;) You just made my iPhone irreplaceable.. If your thinking about buying this app do not hesitate, this one is the best!!! Now I can get rid of all the others. Great job guys, I hope you make a killing on this one, you deserve it!

I was waiting for this app since I got my iPhone. Others try to do the same. This is the only one that truly accomplishes what it should.

Waltercarpenter is right on. This is better than the regular construction master. The stair function just blows me away. I don't do too much materials buying, but I can see it's value there, too. The jack rafter list is great.

Amazing App. Well worth the money considering construction calculators that aren't as featured are $100. Not to mention this one is now built-in to my phone!!

i love it i dont need my calculator any more its one less tool i need ive been waiting for this been checking everyday. it does everything i need for work do wish we had tan sin cosin though i was hoping we would get an app comparible to my construction master and its finally here
